Somatic Enchantment is a seasonal, politicized somatic practice group for anti-capitalist visionaries skilling up and connecting with one another for the sake of transforming our dreams of liberated futures into realities. Each season, we enter relationship with beyond-human kin as a teacher and focus in on deepening a somatic skillset that we need to get free.

This winter, we will be in somatic practice with MOSS & BOUNDARIES.

Moss live in a in a dynamic and vital habitat just between Earth and the beginning of the atmosphere called the "Boundary Layer!" They have been breaking generational cycles, honing reciprocal relationships, claiming their space,  surviving suboptimal conditions, and shaping conditions for life for over 450 million years. In contrast, we are all beginners whether we are trying out boundaries for the first time this month or have been practicing for decades.

Over the course of ten weeks together, we will get to know moss more intimately, tune into their wisdom, and practice and play with our own boundaries.  We will get into themes of SOMATIC SENSING, CONSENT, CENTERED YES / NO / MAYBE, NEGOTIATING, INSISTING, RECIPROCITY & RESISTANCE.

Somatic Enchantment is an intimate space limited to ten participants. We will take the time to lay a foundation of community agreements that allow us to safely get to know each other over time. You will be able to practice with real-life boundary material that matters with you, without pressure to disclose any details.

By spring time, you will (1) have a clear sense what boundaries are, (2) understand how they support life, relationships & movements, (3) be able to discern how and when to articulate your boundaries, and (4) consider what to do when your boundaries are pushed or crossed.
